U.S. International Trade Commission Moves AMI’s Antidumping Petition Forward

Last month, Auburn Manufacturing, Inc. filed an antidumping duty (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) petition against Chinese imports of amorphous silica fabric.  Today, the U.S. International Trade Commission voted unanimously that there is a reasonable indication that the U.S. industry producing amorphous silica fabric is materially injured by imports from China that are allegedly subsidized and dumped in the United States at less than fair value.  In the next phase of the investigation, the Department of Commerce will determine the antidumping and countervailing duty margins attributable to Chinese exporters.  Read the full release here:   USITC Votes to Continue Investigations on Certain Amorphous Silica Fabric From China
