Here’s news: Small US manufacturers are important to the supply chain! This, according to a Dept of Commerce economist in this recent interview in Industry Week — http://www.industryweek.com/manufacturing-leader-week/docs-chief-economist-looking-out-manufacturings-little-guy. We could have told them that, since we stayed US-made when it was cool (and cheaper) to outsource. We knew that our supply chain customers depend on our products when safety and performance are critical – and that’s most of the time when heat and fire are risk factors. Being first at obtaining third-party certification of all our welding fabrics is just one of the ways we stand behind our products’ performance. Can we improve? Yes, of course. We’re adding new products as fiber, coating and manufacturing techniques evolve. You can’t do that if you don’t make stuff! So it’s good to know we’re back in style!
