AMI’s VEXTRA® (GLV) is a high heat resistant tadpole tape that is ideal for gasketing applications found in lab ovens, industrial boilers and furnaces. It can be manufactured so that it conforms to various channel sizes. The tape is engineered with a vermiculite coating and remains stable up to 1500°F. VEXTRA® (GLV) Premium tape is a noncombustible vermiculite-coated fiberglass tape. The vermiculite coating acts as a superior heat-resistant armor for use on small steam lines, hose coverings, expansion joints, and manifold wraps. It is available either plain or bolt hole. This light weight, non-irritating tape remains stable to 1500°F (815°C). If adhesive is used to aid in the installation process, the temperature resistance is limited to 300°F.
