Document Scope: 1.1 Scope. 1.1.1* This standard shall cover provisions to prevent loss of life and property from fire or explosion as a result of hot work. 1.1.2 Installation and operation of arc cutting and welding equipment and operation of gas cutting and welding equipment shall be in accordance with ANSI Z49.1, Safety in Welding, Cutting, and Allied Processes.
