Ever Green® Cut 'n Wrap™

A Truly Green Alternative for Insulating Bare Piping Components on Indoor Steam and Hot Water Distribution Systems*

Auburn Manufacturing Cut N Wrap Piping Insulation Kit

Each Ever Green Cut n’ Wrap kit contains a 4’x 8’ modularized blanket rated to 500°F and a roll of double sided hook and loop fastener making onsite fabrication of removable/reusable insulation blankets quick and easy.

Cut ‘n Wrap Features:

  • Reduce heat loss by at least 85%
  • Paybacks less than one year
  • Rated to 500°F - perfect for retrofits in institutional or commercial facilities
  • On site fabrication is QUICK AND EASY, saving time and money
  • Removable/reusable - ideal for re-insulation or retrofit jobs
  • Ideal for wrapping components such as valve bonnets and stems, flanges, pressure regulators, PRVs and strainers
  • Lowers mechanical room temps FAST - improves working conditions while saving energy
  • 1/2 to1/4 the weight of traditional custom-made insulation blankets
  • Installs in only minutes per fitting
Energy Saving Insulation Kits Ready to use Easily Installed Cut. Wrap. Strap.
Ever Green Cut ‘n Wrap is that easy. Simply measure and cut the insulated material to size, wrap the exposed valve or fitting and secure with the self-sealing hook and loop fastener.
*One or more U.S. and Foreign Patents Pending

Ever Green Cut ’n Wrap is manufactured in the U.S. The insulation composite is produced domestically and meets the Buy American requirements.

Material Makeup

Cut ’n Wrap insulation covers are fabricated from industrial-grade, coated fabric and insulation media. Both materials are rated for at least 500ºF continuous service and were developed to provide many years of effective thermal insulation.

Technical Performance

The thermal textiles used to manufacture Cut ‘n Wrap are considered the safest in the industry and are used for some of the most extreme temperature applications in the world.

  • Flame Spread < 25, Smoke Developed < 50 per ASTM E84
  • Thermal Conductivity Tested, per ASTM C335
  • Fiberglass insulation core meets ASTM C553, Type VI requirements

Note: R-value at 150 degrees F mean temperature = 3.1

Real-World Results Make Specifying Cut 'n Wrap a Really Easy Decision

In addition to extensive laboratory testing, Ever Green Cut ‘n Wrap insulation kits have been tested in real-world environments. These include boiler rooms, mechanical rooms, and steam distribution centers. In each case, the existence of exposed and uninsulated relief valves, flanges, valve stems, fittings, and steam traps were the root cause of excess heat loss, CO2 emissions, and safety issues. Several facilities agreed to test, evaluate, and document Cut 'n Wrap insulation covers for improved energy efficiency, reduced carbon emissions and lower heat loss in their respective steam distribution and processing areas.

Once installed, estimated heat loss savings and payback were calculated using 3E Plus®, a computer program developed by NAIMA (North American Insulation Manufacturers Association), that incorporates ASTM C1129 — “Standard Practice for Estimation of Heat Savings By Adding Thermal Insulation to Bare Valves and Flanges.” Additional measurements were also made to gauge the reduction of ambient room temperature, as well as the surface temperature of the affected components, both before and after the installations took place.
