It's easy to zone out on those repetitious building fire drills, even though we know they’re important. Industrial safety managers face the issue of inattention in safety training workshops regularly, but some are finding that the U.S. Chemical Safety Board’s videos can help to focus attention. The most recent video, Death in the Oilfield, was released just this week. The 9-minute presentation, based on an explosion at an oilfield in Raleigh, MS that claimed three lives, uses 3D animation to illustrate the sequence of events that led to the explosion. Also included are interviews with CSB investigators and key safety lessons to be learned.

Industry News : Casino Fire May Have Been Caused by Welders Working on Roof

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (CNN) -- A fire charred the top of two of three wings of the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino on Friday, causing no major injuries but forcing visitors and employees to evacuate, authorities said.

A bit over an hour after it began, the fire was fully contained, according to the fire departments in Las Vegas and Clark County.

Firefighters would remain at the hotel until "the fire is completely knocked out," said Clark County Fire Chief Steven M. Smith.

That would be at least through the afternoon, he said.

It was mainly an exterior fire, although there might have been slight damage to some rooms, he told CNN after a news conference.

The cause of the fire was unknown. Welders had been working on the roof.

A fire broke out at Fenway Park Sunday morning as workers were in the process of removing a temporary suite from the third base side.

The fire was sparked as the workers were using a torch.
